Activated Carbon Media

We supply Activated Carbon of assured quality in granular/powder form. Activated carbon supplied by us is substantially used to remove residual chlorine, any kind of odor, taste and unwanted organic materials from processed or potable water.

Activated carbon consists of small, black beads or a solid black porous sponge. It is used in water filters, to selectively remove toxins, and chemical purification processes.

Activated carbon is carbon that has been treated with oxygen. The treatment results in a highly porous carbon. These tiny holes give the carbon a surface area of 300-2,000 m2/g, allowing liquids or gases to pass through the carbon and interact with the exposed carbon.


The carbon adsorbs a wide range of impurities and contaminants, including chlorine, odors, and pigments. Because adsorption works by chemically binding the impurities to the carbon, the active sites in the carbon eventually become filled. Activated carbon filters become less absorbing with regular operational use and have to be replaced periodically for better results. 


The most common everyday use of activated carbon is to filter water. It improves water clarity, diminishes unpleasant odors, and removes chlorine.

It will filter:

  • Chlorine :Hydrogen sulfide and some other volatile compounds that cause
  • Odors: Chloramines, Tannins, Phenol, Some drugs & Small amounts of metals, such as iron, mercury, and chelated copper. 


Water Softner Resins

We supply cost-effective rang of Ion Exchange Resins(Cation & Anion) that includes cation exchange resins and anion exchange resins. Resins supplied are provided at industry leading prices.

Our supplied Resins are strong acid cation exchange resin. These are cross-linked polystyrene sulphonated based gel type resin, available in sodium form as well as in hydrogen form, specially developed for industrial and domestic softening. It can be used in either sodium or hydrogen cycles in water treatment, as well as in other chemical processes.

Water Softening Process -

A water softener is packed with resin beads. Hard water with calcium and magnesium flows through this resin and, in a process called ion exchange, the hardness ions in the water trade places with soft ions on the resin beads. The result is soft water.

Water Softeners use “Ion Exchange Resin Beads” that are little spheres that range from 0.3-1.2mm in size. These beads are made by combining strands of Polystyrene which are wrapped around in a crisscross fashion, along with Divinylbenzene (DVB) which acts like a glue that holds the resin together.

Over time, the resin beads in the water softener will become         covered      with calcium and magnesium ions, diminishing their capacity to soften hard water. Through a process called regeneration, water is automatically flushed through the water softener with a concentrated amount of regenerant (For instance, sodium chloride brine can be classified as a regenerant and is utilized in water softener ion exchange.). Resin beads pick up the soft ions from the regenerate in exchange for the hardness on the beads. With the resin beads “recharged,” the water softener goes back to service, providing the whole house with clean, soft water.
